Christmas Program Was a real gift to Jesus. The students took it very seriously and told the timeless story so well. Thanks to you parents for the costumes and for making sure your child was there. We continue to be thankful for Mrs. Mattes and the other teachers for all their hard work. I know the children were Spiritually blessed by the whole experience. We pray that you were too.
Elf Shelf The items are still coming in so your child will have lots of choices to make. Remember it will be held on December 16th and 17th in the afternoon. All items are under $2.00. It is a win win process in that it helps your child and it helps the PTL.
Hat and Mitten Tree We have moved on to the next stage of our Christmas sharing. The tree in the entrance will now be a place to hang new hats and mittens that will be given to people without the means to purchase them on their own. The last few cold days remind us of how hard it would be to live on the streets without proper winter clothing.
H1N1 Keep looking for the clinic in the week of December 14th. It will be by appointment and there will not be the long lines that have been the case in the past. To find out about times and procedures, go to www.harfordcountyhealth.com.
Box Tops and Labels Keep them coming. Visit your friends and neighbors to deliver your Christmas greetings and collect the labels and box tops at the same time. Lots of cooking during the holidays so the labels and box tops should be flowing in.
Christmas Break We will have a half day with dismissal at 12:30 on Tuesday the 22nd. The classrooms will have their Christmas parties that morning. You may be asked to provide goodies or help in some way. Look for future info. School will begin again on Monday the fourth of January.
Pizza Hut Night Advent congregation is having a fund raiser night on Monday the 14th. Tell your server you are from Advent and you know the rest. If you plan to eat out anyway, why not come to the Pizza Hut across Rock Spring from the church? It is an easy way to thank the members for their commitment to your children and the school.
