Friday Blue Notes
November 20, 2009
Thanksgiving Lunch Nov. 23rd It was good to see how many are coming for the meal. We will serve the feast in the back of the Church; certainly a fitting place to eat a thanksgiving meal.
Report Cards and Conferences November 24th The teachers have worked out their schedules and your child(ren) will bring home the time of your conference. I know God will bless these meetings and that they will be helpful to you and your child(ren).
Box Tops and Labels – Keep up the enthusiasm. Ask your friends and neighbors to clip them and then go around with your child to collect them. It will give you an excuse to talk to people you always mean to talk to but often time don’t.
Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots – Still need your help in helping Native Americans from the remote reaches of Canada. They need to know that Jesus loves them too.
Christmas Program As a result of the questionnaire that was sent home from Mrs. Mattes, the Christmas Program will remain where it was originally scheduled. We look forward to seeing the students give glory to God for the original Christmas gift of our Savior, Jesus Christ on December 9, 2009 at 6:00 p.m.
Keep teaching your children how to avoid the flu. Be sure to keep them home if they are sick and don’t have them return until they have a normal temperature for 24 hours WITHOUT MEDICATION. Medication masks the temp and symptoms so be sure they are ok without it for the full day. We are still working on getting the shots here. Get them on your own if at all possible. Please return the attached form so we can give the health department accurate information when they contact us.
Thanksgiving Break No school on November 24th for conferences and no school until Monday the 30th. May God bless you as you spend time thanking Him for all His goodness. We will see you on Monday.
