NOVEMBER 13, 2009
Nov. 12th – Slime Time was a big success. A student made the announcement “I love Slime Time day!” I think they learned a lot and truly had a good time. Look for pictures on the bulletin boards.
Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots – Still need your help in helping Native Americans from the remote reaches of Canada. They need to know that Jesus loves them TOO.
Report Cards and Conferences November 24th See attached request forms so we can schedule your time with your child’s teacher.
Keep teaching your children how to avoid the flu. Be sure to keep them home if they are sick and don’t have them return until they have a normal temperature for 24 hours WITHOUT MEDICATION. Medication masks the temp and symptoms so be sure they are ok without for the full day. We are still working on getting the shots here. Get them on your own if at all possible.
Progress Report Giant A+ Program - October’s accumulation for the Giant A+ Bonus Points acquired so far is $87.75. We currently have a total of 53 Bonus Cards enrolled (new enrollments always welcome throughout the school year!). Box Tops For Education – A total of 2,006 Box Tops were submitted for the first submittal date, totaling $200.60 so far! Keep saving those Box Tops! Campbell’s Labels for Education – Our account total at the beginning of the year was 5,646 points. More labels will be submitted soon to increase this total. These points will eventually be redeemed to purchase items through Campbell’s catalogue for school supplies, equipment, etc. Target Take Charge of Education – We have a total of 8 Red card holders who have designated Advent for a percent of purchases. The amount accumulated toward the next Target donation to our school is $10.26. THANK YOU to our Advent parents and their families/friends and to the Church congregation for participation in these programs. We are off to a good start!
Up-coming Events Enotria Restaurant fund raiser: Nov. 17th from 4 to close. If you present a flyer or just tell your server at Enotria that you are from Advent, 20% of your bill is donated to Advent PTL. Tell your friends and relatives to eat out and tell them to do the same and it will help your child’s education.
Thanksgiving Lunch Nov. 23rd will be our annual TG luncheon. You should have your envelopes and menu choices now so follow through as soon as you know who will be attending.
