Friday Blue Notes
May 28, 2010
Flea Market - Saturday, June 5th; rain or shine; in case of rain it will move indoors, all but the pony ride. That's right, the Edwards are going to bring a pony for the kids to ride as another way of raising funds. We have requests for over 20 spaces and there will probably be more. We have rummage stuff from the church, some nicer things for the silent auction, and the ice cream has been donated by Klein's. A huge thanks to the committee for all their work and to all who are donating time and talents to make this a great success. Be sure to tell everyone you know about our plans for the day so lots of people attend and have a good time. Keep praying for good weather.
End of Year Field Trip - Wednesday, June 2nd. All the contracts have been signed and sent - the bus, Port Discovery, and the I-Max. The film is the latest 3-D "Shrek" movie. Plan on packing a disposable lunch that does not need to be kept cold and all containers can be thrown away. I think for ease of spotting our students, and creating a sense of unity, "school dress" for the students would be nice. The plan is to leave from the I-Max around 2:45 and beat the rush hour traffic. We should be back to Advent at 3:30 or so.
