My daughter once attended CDC and is now in the third grade at Advent Lutheran Elementary. I believe Advent provides a loving, Christian environment for children to learn and grow, with a progressive trend toward higher academics, behavior, and personal development. The administration and faculty truly care about the students. My daughter loves this school as she has developed many close friendships with students and staff, and wakes up each morning eager to embrace a new day of learning! Lisa, Forest Hill
My husband and I wanted to send our son to a good Christian school that had a reputation for strong academics as well. We investigated other schools, but what made Advent stand out were the friendly staff and their true interest in the students, the large updated classrooms, the class size, and their commitment to educating the students, both academically and spiritually. The school encourages the children to help others in the community and, thus, put their faith into action. I have been very pleased with this school and look forward to sending my daughter here in a few years. Julie, Forest Hill
I have been a teacher at Advent Lutheran Elementary School for the last five years and I still smile when I open my door to my classroom each morning. All the classrooms are filled with light, and are very spacious and clean. The children are provided with a comfortable, safe and secure environment. Our teachers nurture and care for the children. Our children are happy kids who are kind and care about each other. The teachers, administrators and parents all work together as a team to insure that every student has the opportunity to learn, be successful and feel good about themselves. Our new Pastor/Principal is phenomenal. He helps us provide an exceptional academic program at a first and foremost Christ-centered school. Dee, Fallston
The entire atmosphere at Advent is caring and nurturing, which is so important in a child’s educational experience. From the school’s curriculum to the Christian-based premise on which the school was built, the children learn and grow both academically and spiritually. The teachers show a true joy in educating the children, building confidence in each child along the way. The school has all of the amenities to provide the children with a well-rounded education. Art projects line the hallways and music fills the classrooms, encouraging creativity. Religion is part of the entire curriculum teaching kindness, respect and care for others. The administration and faculty work hard to provide the children with a wonderful learning experience each day, and it shows through their commitment to the school. John, Forest Hill
